Knowledge transfer

AMERA connects individuals, organizations, experts and resources for the transfer of knowledge on legal issues relating to asylum determination, durable solutions, family reunification, and other refugee protection matters. We provide resources for displaced people to ensure access to specialist, free-of-charge legal information and advice.

Capacity building

AMERA develops the capacity of lawyers, paralegals, students, and other professionals in refugee law and interdisciplinary representation - through our model and specialized courses, through our internship program, and through facilitating development opportunities.

Networking & advocacy

AMERA builds and participates in networks, supporting coordination, research, advocacy and policy development relating to legal rights of displaced people.
